Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

Objective

The goal of the program is to provide research opportunity and career development for scholars and increase the number of professionals whose work will enhance the diversity of the academic community and drive forces to deliver research outcomes which are beneficial to the country. The program aims to support individuals who hold a doctorate in the fields of Nanotechnology.

Eligibility

·        Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. degree within a period of 5 years from well-recognized universities in Thailand or overseas.

• Applicants must have at least one publication in an international peer-reviewed scientific journal with impact factors or own a patent.

·        Applicants must be able to engage in full-time postdoctoral research for the period of the award.

Fields of Research

Applicants must have conducted research work in the following areas:

1.      Development of nanocatalysts for biofuel production

-   Heterogeneous catalysis

-   Synthesis and characterization of catalysts

-   Catalytic evaluation

-   Acid/base or metal catalysts

-   Biofuels

2.      Computational and theoretical nanoscience

-   Computational physics

-   Computational chemistry

3.      Formulation development of cream containing nanoparticles of antihistamine herbal extract

-   Micro encapsulation

-   Emulsion technology

-   Cosmetic sciences

4.      Efficacy enhancement for cancer therapy and diagnosis by nanotechnology

Number of Awards

Four successful candidates would be sponsored to work at NANOTEC under the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program.
