Special guest speaker for the first day was Dr. Nuttapun Supaka, Head of Testing and Service Lab at NANOTEC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe vocational education system in Thailand is an appropriate venue to\u00a0promote the knowledge in nanotechnology\u201d said Dr. Nuttapun. \u201cBoth faculty and students already have the basic understanding of technology and should be in the position to blend nanotechnology in their R&amp;D activities\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Currently the Vocational Education Commission oversees a total of 415 technical institutions (government). There is a plan to include 400 technical colleges from the private sector to be under the administration of the commission.
