The conference participants focused on defining societal problems, such as lack of water, desertification, and pollution, and how to find appropriate solutions via nanotechnology, with the help of the Iranian advanced experience in this field. Ghassan Assi, Director General of the Syrian Higher Commission for Scientific Research, said the Commission has actively contributed to promoting this promising technology, particularly through cooperation with Iran, who has begun to share expertise with Syria.
