{"id":2500,"date":"2011-05-26T11:27:44","date_gmt":"2011-05-26T04:27:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nano2.toolsmkt.com\/?p=2500"},"modified":"2011-05-26T11:27:44","modified_gmt":"2011-05-26T04:27:44","slug":"nanoparticles-help-scientists-harvest-light-with-solar-fuels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nanotec.or.th\/en\/nanoparticles-help-scientists-harvest-light-with-solar-fuels\/","title":{"rendered":"Nanoparticles Help Scientists Harvest Light with Solar Fuels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Scientists at the United States Department of Energy\u2019s Argonne National Laboratory have found that by linking platinum nanoparticles with algae proteins they can commandeer photosynthesis to produce hydrogen, and at a rate five times greater than the previous record-setting method.\u00a0 <!--more-->Lisa Utschig, a chemist at Argonne, said, &#8220;If you are considering the question &#8216;How do we get energy from the sun,&#8217; you always come back to photosynthesis.\u00a0 Photosynthesis does it best.
