{"id":2566,"date":"2011-06-06T08:52:04","date_gmt":"2011-06-06T01:52:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nano2.toolsmkt.com\/?p=2566"},"modified":"2011-06-06T08:52:04","modified_gmt":"2011-06-06T01:52:04","slug":"dna-nanotechnology-grows-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nanotec.or.th\/en\/dna-nanotechnology-grows-up\/","title":{"rendered":"DNA Nanotechnology Grows Up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This article takes a comprehensive look at the burgeoning field of DNA nanotechnology, in which scientists arrange the four building blocks of DNA \u2013 molecules of adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), and thymine (T) \u2013 so that they assemble themselves into whatever structures the researchers want to build.\u00a0\u00a0<!--more-->It\u2019s an endeavor that represents nanotechnology\u2019s closest attempt to build materials atom by atom from the ground up, but critics have been quick to wonder about the point of it all.\u00a0 Ned Seeman, an x-ray crystallographer at New York University (NYU), United States, who has spent more than a decade working in the field, said, \u201cPeople always say, \u2018Yeah, that&#8217;s cute. So what?
