A European Commission-funded project, NaPANIL (Nanopatterning, Production and Applications based on Nanoimprinting Lithography), involves 18 different partners, and has resulted in the ability to significantly increase emitted light\u2019s intensity by controlling the light path through glass or diffusing a single ray into a homogenous illumination. The development has several different application areas, including making mobile phone displays brighter, as well as head-up displays for vehicles\u2019 windscreens that are easy to read in all light directions.
