{"id":2867,"date":"2011-07-22T14:48:20","date_gmt":"2011-07-22T07:48:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nano2.toolsmkt.com\/?p=2867"},"modified":"2011-07-22T14:48:20","modified_gmt":"2011-07-22T07:48:20","slug":"nni-releases-four-workshop-reports-from-the-nanoehs-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nanotec.or.th\/en\/nni-releases-four-workshop-reports-from-the-nanoehs-series\/","title":{"rendered":"NNI Releases Four Workshop Reports from the nanoEHS Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The United States National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) this week released four reports that resulted from a series of workshops focusing on various issues in the nanotechnology environmental, health and safety (EHS) arena. <!--more-->The workshop series was part of an ongoing strategy to coordinate nanotechnology-related EHS research by convening experts from industry, academia and the government to share information, discuss the newest developments, and identify research gaps. According to Dr. Sally Tinkle, Acting Director and EHS Coordinator for the National Nanotechnology Coordination Office, \u201cThese four reports detail the process by which we examined the 2008 EHS Research Strategy and the information and data in the EHS and ELSI [ethical, legal, and social issues] arenas to consider the best path forward for nanotechnology.
