Presenting the award was Dr. Sirasak Teparkum, Deputy Executive Director, NANOTEC. Over 30 photos were received. This year the awards went to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1<sup>st<\/sup> Prize Award: Ms. Kullavadee Karnorachai (Mahidol University). The theme of the Photo \u201cBuffalo\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2<sup>nd<\/sup> Prize Award: Ms. Wantana Koetniyom (King Mongkut Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, KMITL). The theme of the photo \u201cEndearing Thoughts\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3<sup>rd<\/sup> Prize Award: Prof. Dr. Somchai Thongtem (Chiangmai University). The theme of the AFM Photo \u201cDiamond-like carbon\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3<sup>rd<\/sup> Prize Award: Sudarat Yadnum (Kasetsart University). The theme of the photo \u201cSunset among the bamboos\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>NANOTEC and the Nanotechnology Association of Thailand organized the contest to promoting public awareness to nanotechnology, capturing the essence of the research project, and creating a venue for researchers to network and exchange knowledge. The organizers also took the opportunity to give recognition to Bara Science Co., Ltd, LMS Instrument Co., Ltd, and JPK Instruments AG for their kind sponsorships.
