{"id":3132,"date":"2011-10-05T14:27:22","date_gmt":"2011-10-05T07:27:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nano2.toolsmkt.com\/?p=3132"},"modified":"2011-10-05T14:27:22","modified_gmt":"2011-10-05T07:27:22","slug":"nobel-laureate-inspires-young-scientist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nanotec.or.th\/en\/nobel-laureate-inspires-young-scientist\/","title":{"rendered":"Nobel Laureate inspires young scientist"},"content":{"rendered":"<table style=\"width: 100%;\" cellpadding=\"3\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">Prof. Bert Sakmann, Nobel Laureate for Medicine 1991 will participate in a live teleconference\/Skype<!--more-->\u00a0during the a 3-day event to replicate the Lindau Meeting for young scientists at the Sirindhorn Science Home, Thailand Science Park in Pathumthani province. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">The organizer expects over 100 young scientists (undergraduate-early postdoctoral &#8211; same age group as the Lindau participants in Germany) will participate in this teleconference and the 3 days event. Prof Sakmann is one of a very few and possibly the only Nobel Laureates who attended the Lindau meeting when he was a young student (similar to this event) and later became a Nobel Laureate in 1991. Therefore, the teleconference discussion will certainly be a memorable experience for all the participants, young and old.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) will organize the Learning from the Lindau Nobel Laureates Meeting \u201cGreat Inspirations from Great Scientists\u201d on October 13-15, 2011 to promote the significance of the Noble Laureate Meeting in Lindau and inspire young scientists in Thailand to pursuit their career goals, following the footsteps of the Noble Laureates.
