As a representative of Ireland on the PESC (Physical &amp; Engineering Sciences Committee) of the European Science Foundation, he will also share his views on matters related to policy that is of significant importance for the sustainability of our global environment.<\/p>\n<p>Organizers of the conference included the Nanotechnology Association of Thailand, Khon Kaen University, National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), and National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0&#8220;The Thai government acknowledges the importance of nanotechnology development as a tool to stimulate and leapfrog in key areas of S&amp;T\u201d said Prof. Sirirurg Songsivilai, President of Nanotechnology Association of Thailand. \u201cWe are investing in areas related to R&amp;D, technology transfer, and human resource development for this reason; NanoThailand 2012 is a valuable input to achieving our investment goal\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Thailand will celebrate the Thai New Year (Songkran Festival) during the first week of April.
