1. Project: 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural Production from Fructose Syrup in a Liter-scale Batch Reactor

Position:<\/strong> Research assistant (NCR) at Catalyst Research Team, NANOTEC, NSTDA (Khlong Luang, Pathum Thani)<\/p>

Duration:<\/strong> 1 year<\/p>

Qualifications: <\/strong><\/p>

  • A master\u2019s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, or other related subjects<\/li>
  • Research experience in thermochemical catalysis using a stirred-tank reactor is preferred, but not strictly required.<\/li>
  • A good command of English in reading and writing<\/li><\/ul>

    Job descriptions:<\/strong><\/p>

    • Synthesis of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) from fructose syrup by catalytic thermochemical process in a liter-scale batch reactor<\/li>
    • Products analysis using HPLC technique<\/li>
    • Separation and Purification of HMF<\/li>
    • Kilogram-scale production of HMF with purity \u2265 95%<\/li><\/ul>

      Personality:<\/strong> Good attitude, flexible and good at communication, responsible and perseverant<\/p>

      • Research experience in materials synthesis, catalysis, OR electrochemistry<\/li><\/ul>

        • Responsible for catalyst synthesis using wet chemistry<\/li>
        • Testing electrocatalytic CO2 reduction to chemicals in flow cells<\/li>
        • Products analysis by GC and NMR<\/li>
