1st NanoCode Newsletter Now Available

NanoCode, a European Union project charged with gathering information about knowledge and perception of the European Commission’s European Code of Conduct for Responsible Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies Research (CoC), as well as developing tools to improve the understanding, implementation and use of the CoC for companies and organizations carrying out such research activities, has published its first newsletter.  The CoC is voluntary, and consultation has shown that not all stakeholders are aware of the project, and/or have difficulty implementing it in a consistent way.  NanoCode has been supported by the EC in order to develop and provide guidance and tools in an effort to address these issues.  The newsletter is the first of three scheduled throughout the project.  The NanoCode project began in January 2010 and will continue through November 2011.  The newsletter is available on the NanoCode website.
