January 26, 2026 – The National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), advanced Thailand–Japan cooperation in nanotechnology through a strategic mission to Japan during 26–30 January 2026.
The delegation, led by Prof. Dr. Sukij Limpijumnong, President of NSTDA, and Dr. Uracha Rakstanonchai, Executive Director of NANOTEC, paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador of Thailand to Japan to report on the progress and objectives of the mission, as well as to present opportunities for strengthening bilateral collaboration in science, technology, and innovation.
The visit included engagements with leading research institutions, notably RIKEN’s Center for Emergent Matter Science (CEMS), to explore potential collaboration in advanced semiconductive polymers and hydrogel and inorganic nanosheet technologies, and participation in nano tech 2026 during 28 – 30 January at Tokyo Big Sight to showcase Thailand’s research capabilities and foster international partnerships.
