Tokyo, Japan – 28–29 January 2026 — The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), led by Prof. Dr. Sirirurg Songsivilai, Member of the National Science and Technology Development Board, Prof. Dr. Sukij Limpijumnong, President of NSTDA, and Dr. Uracha Ruktanonchai, Executive Director of the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), together with NSTDA executives and researchers, visited exhibitions presented by leading research institutes and industrial partners at the 25th International Nanotechnology Exhibition and Conference (nano tech 2026) held at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan.
The delegation visited exhibitions by key strategic research partners in Japan, including the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), RIKEN a National Research and Development Agency, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), showcasing advances and research directions in nanotechnology.
In addition, the delegation explored nanotechnology innovations from the Japanese private sector, including HIRANO TECSEED, and exchanged views with researchers on technology development, particularly in the field of energy.
nano tech 2026 serves as a global platform highlighting emerging trends in nanotechnology, with a strong focus on carbon reduction, environmental sustainability, and applications in healthcare. Insights gained from this visit will contribute to shaping Thailand’s nanotechnology research and development directions in alignment with global trends, while also supporting future international collaboration to translate research into tangible impact.
