NANOTEC NSTDA Presents Thailand’s STI and Nanotechnology Directions at the 18th Nanotechnology Association Conference and Asia Nano Forum

29 January 2026 — The National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), was represented by Dr. Uracha Ruktanonchai, Executive Director of NANOTEC, as an invited speaker at the 18th Nanotechnology Association Conference, delivered a keynote presentation titled “NANOTEC, Thailand in 2026 and Beyond,” outlining NANOTEC’s vision, strategic directions, and research achievements driving Thailand’s nanotechnology development. The presentation also highlighted four NANOTEC startups, demonstrating successful translation of research into commercial applications. The conference was attended by participants from Portugal, Canada, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Taiwan, Japan, and Malaysia.

On the same occasion, the NANOTEC delegation participated in the Asia Nano Forum (ANF) Executive Committee Meeting, where Dr. Waluree Thongkam reported progress of the Safety and Risk Assessment Working Group and invited ANF member countries to join Thailand-led collaboration on particle size analysis and antibacterial performance assessment. The initiative received strong interest from ANF members.

During the ANF Annual General Meeting, Dr. Uracha also proposed measures to enhance ANF operational efficiency, including the development of real-time communication platforms among member countries. The proposals were endorsed by the ANF Chair and all participating members, with follow-up actions to be implemented in the future.
