NANOTEC Showcases Success in Standardized Herbal Extracts for Cosmetic Products

On 19 February 2026, the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) presented research outcomes on the development of standardized Thai herbal extracts to representatives from the Bureau of the Budget during a project monitoring meeting on the application of science and technology for sustainable national development in the agriculture and food sectors.

The project demonstrates the successful translation of laboratory research into commercial cosmetic products developed in collaboration with Thai companies. Examples include skincare serums formulated with standardized extracts from Centella asiatica, black ginger, Indian gooseberry, and Artocarpus lakoocha, as well as innovative encapsulation technologies for enhanced ingredient delivery.

These developments highlight NANOTEC’s efforts to transform publicly funded research into industry-ready innovations, strengthening the competitiveness of Thai entrepreneurs while enabling consumers to access high-quality, safe products derived from Thai herbal resources.
