On 23 September 2026, the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), NSTDA, and Arincare Co., Ltd. joined forces to expand access to a Thai-developed kidney disease screening test kit through community pharmacies nationwide. The collaboration aims to expand distribution to 3,000 pharmacies across Thailand, connecting research and innovation with real-world users and markets.
The screening kit was developed from the AL-Strip research and is designed for qualitative screening of urinary microalbumin. It can be used for initial self-screening, with results available in approximately five minutes.
Under the NSTDA Rapid Test Innovation Program, the technology has been transferred to three Thai companies and developed into three products: Kitnee, KidnyCheck and RenAcc. The next phase focuses on expanding market access through community pharmacies and digital platforms.
Arincare will leverage its digital pharmacy platform, pharmacy network and MedEx distribution system to support product distribution and ordering, while providing information and tools for pharmacists to guide consumers.
The collaboration connects NANOTEC’s research and technology transfer capabilities with Thai manufacturers and Arincare’s pharmacy network, with the shared goal of bringing Thai health innovations closer to the public and expanding access to kidney disease screening nationwide.
