Researchers in the US, Japan and Spain have discovered that they can change the stacking order in trilayer graphene using just an electric field. The finding means that semi-metallic graphene can now be transformed into semiconducting graphene using only an applied voltage – something that might make it easier to fabricate devices from the carbon material………
