Multijunction solar cells break new records

Full spectrum multijunction solar cells with efficiencies of as high as nearly 44% have been fabricated by a team of researchers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Semprius in the US. The cells, assembled using a printing-based technique , could be used to make more efficient and cost-effective photovoltaic devices in the future……
