Brazil and China to Set Up Nanotechnology Centre in Sao Paulo

The Brazilian government and the Chinese Academy of Sciences will this month sign an agreement for construction of a nanotechnology center in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo. Aloizio Mercadente, with the Brazilian ministry of Science and Technology, said the initial investment for the project would be split equally amongst the partners. Mercadente added that during his upcoming visit to China, he would arrange for 200 doctors, medical students and post-graduates from Brazil to be sent to the research centers of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to take part in nanotechnology work, as well as space research, clean energy and biotechnology.
