“Trade in today’s environment have changed” said Ms. Srirat Rastapana, Director General of Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) during NSTDA’s CEO Talk. “In order for us to be in par with our trading partners, we need to be aware of the Global Megatrend which includes: Climate Change, Digital Economy, Globalization & Liberalization, Demographic Change, and Asian Change”.

Ms. Srirat said that Thailand is considered a middle income economy and in order for us to avoid the “middle income economy trap”, we need to focus our effort on sustainable competitiveness, moving up the Value Chain, and Value Creation. S&T & R&D input will play a major role in this focus.
