Introduction to Nanomaterials and Occupational Health

The University of Texas School of Public Health, United States, is offering an eight-hour course, “Introduction to Nanomaterials and Occupational Safety”, on July 19, 2011.  The course is designed to equip occupational health and safety professionals with the information and tools they need to manage this emerging class of potentially hazardous substances.  Participants will learn what nanoscale substances are, what hazards they may pose, and how to apply their existing knowledge of occupational health and safety to manage potential risks in the workplace.  The full program and registration information can be viewed online.
