On Aug 8, NANOTEC hosted the visit of Dr. Orapin Rubino, Director, Formulation and Product Development, Glatt Pharmaceutical Services, Glatt Air Techniques, Inc.  On this occasion, Dr. Orapin gave a talk on “Nanotechnology in Pharmaceutical Product Development” and visited NANOTEC labs. The talk focused on: trends in pharmaceutical industry, nanotechnology for oral solid dosage forms, particle size reduction, and process to incorporate nanoparticles into oral solid dosage forms.

“The Pharmaceutical Industry is normally seen as a profit earning industry. The Pharmaceutical Industry Trend is positive and a growing one” said Dr. Orapin. “In order to prevent infringement of copy right law, many companies are relying on the use of nanotechnology in “sensitive” processing stage” thus, making is extremely difficult and costly to copy”.
