The National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), NSTDA, in collaboration with the Pharmacy Council of Thailand, organized the second “Community of Practice Pharmacist” training program on 22 August 2026 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi. The program brought together 483 pharmacists to strengthen their skills in chronic kidney disease (CKD) screening, medication management and patient care.
A key activity was a hands-on workshop on using a urinary microalbumin screening test kit, developed under NSTDA’s Rapid Test Innovation Program, enabling pharmacists to apply the technology for early risk screening in community pharmacies.
The innovation is registered under the Thai Innovation List and commercially available as Kitnee, KidneyCheck and RenAcc. The technology has already supported kidney disease screening for more than 20,000 people, helping facilitate early detection and appropriate care.
The training is part of NANOTEC’s efforts to translate research and innovation into practical healthcare applications and expand access to early kidney disease screening across Thailand.
