On 12 June 2026, the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), hosted the seminar “Integrated Microplastic Management: Fundamentals, Analytical Testing, and Global Standard Trends” at ProPak Asia 2026, held at IMPACT Forum, Muang Thong Thani, Thailand.
The seminar brought together key partners, including the Department of Science Service (DSS), the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), and the Pollution Control Department, to exchange knowledge and strengthen collaboration on microplastic management.
The event highlighted the roles of each sector in addressing microplastic challenges—from NANOTEC’s research and nanotechnology expertise, DSS’s analytical testing and reference laboratory capabilities, to TISI’s contribution in developing standards and supporting regulatory alignment.
The collaboration reflects Thailand’s commitment to advancing science-based solutions, improving microplastic monitoring capabilities, and preparing for future environmental management challenges in line with international standards.
