Bangkok, 8 January 2026 – Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), through the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), showcased the impact of Thai nanotechnology research at Thailand Inventor’s Day 2026, held at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
Led by Dr. Urcha Rakstanonchai, Executive Director of NANOTEC, senior executives from NSTDA joined the event to congratulate NANOTEC research teams, who collectively secured 22 national research awards presented by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT). The recognition reflects the breadth and depth of NANOTEC’s research excellence across multiple disciplines.
The awarded works demonstrate how nanotechnology is being translated into practical solutions addressing key national priorities, including healthcare innovation, environmental sustainability, energy transition, agricultural advancement, and advanced industrial applications.

Thailand Inventor’s Day 2026 was officially opened on behalf of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, underscoring strong royal support for science, research, and innovation as strategic drivers of Thailand’s long-term development.
NANOTEC’s strong showing at the national event reaffirms NSTDA’s commitment to advancing high-impact research and accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into real-world applications that benefit society, strengthen the national innovation ecosystem, and enhance Thailand’s competitiveness on the global stage.
