NANOTEC show nano air filter technology to investors

NANOTEC researchers have found a way to produce nano-coated air filter sheet that is cost effective and can be easily adapted for use in industrial setting or in individual homes. “The i-Guard Air Filter Sheets will have multifunctional properties such as self cleaning, water repellent, trap and kill bacteria/fungi” said Prof. Sirirurg Songsivilai during NSTDA Investor Day 2011 press conference which was chaired by Dr. Plodprasop Suraswadi, Minister of Science and Technology.
“This technology is part of the NANOTEC’s health and medical research programme. Dr. Narupol Intasanta from NANOTEC Hybrid Nanostructure and Nanocomposite laboratory is the key researcher responsible for this technology. In addition to i-Guard Air Filter, the lab have also successfully worked on the nano bednet which has received interest from around the world.

NSTDA Investor Day 2011 is scheduled to be held on September 22 at Central World, Bangkok. Currently, NANOTEC is discussing business details on i-Guard Air Filter with manufacturing companies.
