Thailand CCUS Alliance (TCCA), in collaboration with the British Embassy Bangkok, organized the “Thailand–UK Strategic Dialogue on Advancing CCUS Collaboration”, a platform for discussion and knowledge exchange on key issues related to CCUS technologies.

The event was held on 20 June 2025, from 09:30 to 13:00 hrs., at Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai, Bangkok. The dialogue was convened under the TCCA project, led by the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), in partnership with the British Embassy Bangkok, and generously supported by the Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B).

The event brought together 40 representatives from 17 organizations/companies comprising the TCCA Steering Committee.

We were honored by the presence of Professor Alison Flower, Senior Energy Advisor on energy and CCUS policy from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), who kindly served as the keynote speaker and session chair throughout the event.

The primary objective of this dialogue was to provide a platform for the TCCA Steering Committee to engage in meaningful discussion and learning with Professor Alison Flower, focusing on critical topics related to the advancement of CCUS technologies.

During the meeting, the dialogue was structured around four key themes:

  1. Skills Development and Regional Collaboration
  2. CCUS Collaboration in Southeast Asia
  3. UK–Thailand CCUS Research & Funding Opportunities
  4. Next Steps in UK–Thailand CCUS Cooperation
