One Day Science Camp – promote S&T in schools

Nelson Mandela (South Africa’s first democratically elected president) once said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. Countries that do not shied away from promoting the learning of S&T compete effectively in global settings. Hence, it is necessary for countries such as Thailand to incorporate science courses in schools’ curriculum.

Recently, NANOTEC, BIOTEC, and MTEC joined force to organize a “One Day Science Camp” at Thailand Science Park for student grade 4-6 from Takhliprachasan School, Nakorn Sawan province. A total of 101 students participated in what is considered a “student-centered” science lesson on the basic understanding of nanotechnology, biology, and material science.

Additional “One Day Science Camp” are also being plan for other schools from various provinces.
