Technology Review filmed SOS water

Daniel Lovering a journalist and videographer recently visited NANOTEC to cover a special report on SOS water (mobile water purifier unit) on behalf of Technology Review Magazine (own by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA). Upon noticing the coverage of the SOS water in the BBC Click (UK) in early September, Technology Review Magazine was also interested in learning more about the research on nano-silver coated ceramic filtration system at NANOTEC  for natural disaster mitigation.

In addition to filming the SOS water at the Thai Red Cross Training Facility at Angthong site, Daniel also visited the Hybrid Nanostructure and Nanocomposites Lab (HNN) at NANOTEC at Thailand Science Park to interview Dr. Chamorn Chawengkijwanich one of the researcher who worked on the nano-silver coating research and Dr. Sirasak Teparkum, Deputy Executive Director on the research direction at NANOTEC.

It is expected that the special report will be on-line sometime the end of December 2012.
