NANOTEC Showcases Water Innovations at Waterworks Evolution Day 2026

The National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), NSTDA, showcased research and innovations in water management at “Waterworks Evolution Day 2026”, organized by the Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) on 20–21 August 2026 at the PWA Headquarters in Bangkok.

NANOTEC presented technologies addressing key challenges across the water management value chain, from water quality monitoring and advanced filtration and treatment materials to water production systems and field applications.
Highlights included a nanotechnology-based drinking water filtration system with real-time water quality monitoring, advanced filter materials and nano-coatings designed to improve water treatment performance in different settings. NANOTEC also presented a modular SMC water storage tank prototype made from nanocomposite materials, featuring antibacterial properties, reduced algae adhesion and UV resistance, enabling outdoor installation and potential applications in communities facing water shortages.

The showcase reflects the ongoing collaboration between NANOTEC, NSTDA, and the Provincial Waterworks Authority to apply nanotechnology and science, technology and innovation to water management and develop solutions suited to local needs, supporting more efficient water management and improved quality of life for communities in Thailand.
