Researchers received awards at Thailand Inventors’ Day 2015

Three NANOTEC researchers received the Outstanding Thesis Award 2014 this morning at Thailand Inventors’ Day 2015 under the theme “Creativity and Inspiration” which is organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) from February 2-5 in Bangkok.  The event was chaired by Prof. Yongyuth Yuthavong, Deputy Prime Minister.

The three NANOTEC researchers are:

1. Dr.Satita Tapaneeyakorn (Target Discovery Lab)

Thesis title : Towards NMR Spectroscopic Studies of the NTS1-NT Complex

University : University of Oxford, UK

Advisor : Professor Dr.Anthony Watts

2. Dr.Chalita Ratanatawanate (Nanomaterials for Energy and Catalysis Lab)

Thesis title : Functionalized TiO2 Nanotubes and Their Applications

University : The University of Texas at Dallas, USA

Advisor : Professor Dr.Kenneth J. Balkus, Jr

3. Dr.Manaschai Kunaseth (Nanoscale Simulation  Lab)

Thesis title : Metascalable  Hybrid Message-Passing and Multithreading Algorithms for n-Tuple Computation

University : University of Southern California, USA

Advisor : Professor Aiichiro Nakano

Also receiving the Oustanding Researcher Award 2014 was Associate Professor Dr. Mongkol Sukwattanasinitt, from Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University. Chulalongkorn University is a member of the Centers of Excellence that work closely with NANOTEC on nanotechnology development.
