Science Frontier: “What the heck is nanotechnology?”

“Science Frontier will allow participants to explore new trends in science and meeting the scientists and researchers who are working in science” said Dr. Omjai Saimek, Vice President (S&T for Society) at NSTDA who oversees human resource development in S&T. “You could say that science is an endless frontier where the hunger for knowledge is a common trait among the participants”.

Science Frontier: “What the heck is nanotechnology” was held on May 31 at Sirindhorn Science Home with over 200 high school teachers from central Thailand attending the session. A group of Training for the Trainers in Nanotechnology (TTN) members was also among the audience. Dr. Nuttapun Supaka, Head of Nano Characterization Lab at NANOTEC was the speaker for the morning session. The afternoon session was dedicated to hands-on workshop.

Science Frontier is a scheduled event organized by NSTDA with collaboration from the four research agencies: NANOTEC, NECTEC, BIOTEC, and MTEC. Each of the four research agencies takes turn to organize workshop sessions focusing on their research expertise.
