National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) received the Thai Senate Acknowledgement Award (S&T for Excellence) from Mr. Nikhom Wairatpanij, President of the Senate at Parliament House on November 5, 2012 under the category of using science and technology to build societal impact to health and medical awareness. Dr. Sirasak Teparkum, Deputy Executive Director represented NANOTEC at the award ceremony.

This is the first year that the Thai Senate decided to present the award to various agencies who have demonstrated the use of S&T to promote excellence in various categories.
