nanotech 2014 opens at Tokyo Big Sight and Thailand was there to show its national colors.  

On Jan 23 NANOTEC hosted the visit of delegates from ASEAN-EU STI Days. On hand to welcome the groups was Dr. Uracha who gave a tour of TDI, NDS, and Nano Cosmeceutical Lab.

The ASEAN-EU STI Days opened this morning with an echo of sentiment to collaborate in the field of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI). The 3 days workshop program will focus on three fundamental societal challenges; health, food security and safety, and water management.

An important scientific activity under the initiative of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirirndhorn, to stregthen scientific collaboration between the two countries.

Thailand organized the ASEAN Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Grand Challenges Initiative Meeting on 13 December 2013 in Bangkok. Attending the meeting are representatives from ASEAN COST Focal Points, SCIRD Focal Points, Representatives from ASEAN Secretariat, and representatives from Grand Challenges Canada. 

NANOTEC organized a housewarming party on Dec 4 to mark the official move to INC 2 office.

On the occasion of His Majesty the King’s 86th birthday on Dec 5, staff and researchers at NANOTEC organized a special gathering to show their love and respect to our beloved king.

Recently, the Public Awareness and Training Section of NANOTEC and Teacher Trainer of Nanotechnology Network (TTN) organized a ONE DAY CAMP for students from Thepsirin School in Bangkok.

The 3rd METALEX NANO Forum under the theme “Challenges of Nanotechnology Application in Metalworking” opened this morning with Mr. Nirut Kunnawat, Advisor to the Minister of Science and Technology giving the keynote speech on “Thailand National Policy and Challenges of Nanotechnology for the Industries”.

Dr. Phiraphan Phalusuk, Minister of S&T chaired the meeting this morning (Nov 20) with public and private sector groups at the ministry.

NANOTEC and National Science Technology Innovation Policy Office (STI) organized a half day seminar on “Public Engagement and Awareness of the National Nanotechnology Policy Framework 2012-2021” at the Mandarin Hotel in Bangkok on November 15.

On Nov 6 NANOTEC organized “NANOTEC Flagship Day 2013″ to establish comradely among flagship (FS) team members and to provide opportunity for staff/researchers to select additional FS they would want to be a member of.  The event also allows for assignments of FS numbers from 1 to 10.

Thai Red Cross invited NANOTEC to join its staff in providing clean drinking water to flood victims in the district of Sri Mahapot, Prachinburi Province.

NANOTEC joined NSTDA in exhibiting Nano Textile Flagship at Bangchak Public Company Knowledge Management (KM) Day 2013 at their head office in Sukhumvit Road
