Establishment of NANO Plus+ (TTN Network Center) at RMUTL.

On the invitation of Asst. Prof. Prasan Ruchirasak, VP for Chiangrai Campus (Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, RMUTL) representatives from Teacher Trainer of Nanotechnology (TTN) paid a courtesy visit to the campus. The objective of the visit is to discuss and explore the possibility of establishing RMUTL as the NANO Plus+ (TTN Network Center) for Northern Region. Attending the meeting from RMUTL consisted of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somchat Hanvongsa (Dean of Faculty of Science and Agricultural Technology), and Khun Somsak Wannachai (Director of Resource Management), and members of the RMUTL Nanotechnology Center. 

The result of the meeting is positive and Asst. Prof. Prasan said he will discuss with the President of the campus and will give his support for the establishment of the NANO Plus+ (TTN Network Center) (Northern Region). He hopes to sign an MOU to formalize this collaboration soon. 

Since its conception in 2008, the network of the Training for the Trainer in Nanotechnology (TTN) program have completed setting up 5 TTN groups representing 4 region of the country (North, Northeast, Central, and South). The 5 TTN group comprise of 124 member team from 94 institutions such as high schools, universities, and research institutions nationwide. A total of 500 training sessions were held for teachers and faculty members, TTN is hoping to establish 4 regional network centers throughout the country within 2012. TTN have already received positive response from Buriram Rajabhat University to setup the NANO Plus+ (TTN Network Center) (Northeast Region).
