By: Dr. Wilaiporn Chetanachan
Director of Siam Cement Group (SCG) Corporate Technology Office

When: Wednesday, February 26  (13:30 – 15:30)

Venue: NANOTEC Innovation Room (INC 2)

Abstract:

There are various organisations and schemes that seek to inform the public of important and topical issues in science. Greater awareness empowers the public and enables informed debate on scientific issues affecting society. The problem arises when we think we are speaking science but actually we are NOT speaking science. Communication is a two way street between the speaker and his/her audience. It is necessary to be aware of how we communicate science, to who are we communicating, and the language we are using. This talk will touch on the various aspects of science communication.
