NSTDA researchers received awards

Congratulations to:
  • Dr. Taridaporn Buajarern (BIOTEC) – recipient of the Wiley-CST Outstanding Publication Award 2010 for her research work on “Isoriotins E and F, spirocyclic and bicyclic hemiacetals from the entomopathogenic fungus Isaria tenuipes BCC 12625”

  • Dr. Kajornsak Faungnawakij (NANOTEC) – recipient of the CST Distinquished Young Chemist Award 2010 (Inorganic Chemistry) for his research work on Nano-Catalysts for Renewable Energy Production

The award was presented by His Excellency Mr. Ampol Senanarong, Privy Councillor during the Royal Opening Ceremony of PACCON 2011 (Pure and Applied Chemistry International Conference 2011) at Miracle Grand Hotel, Bangkok.

Dr. Taridaporn has been a researcher at BIOTEC (Bioresources Unit) since 2003. Her research interest is in the area of microbial compound deriving from insect pathogenic fungi. Dr. Taridaporn received her Ph.D in Organic Chemistry from University Louis Pasteur (Strasbourg) France in 2003.

Dr. Kajornsak has been with NANOTEC (NanoEnergy & Cat. Lab) since 2008. Prior to this he was with Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) in Kyoto, Japan. His research interest is in the area of inorganic chemistry, chemical engineering, especially Catalysis, nanotechnology, and biofuels. Dr. Kajornsak received his Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand in 2005.
