TRF award Research Career Development Grant

Dr. Nattika Saengkrit of NANOTEC Nano Delivery System Lab (NDS) was awarded the Thailand Research Foundation (TRF) Research Career Development Grant for her research project on “Development of ligand-targeted and surface-modified liposome for specific drug delivery to cervical cancer cell” which is a collaboration with  Siriraj and EPFL in Switzerland. 

“Cancer of the cervix is the second most common cancer in women worldwide, with about 500 000 new cases and 250 000 deaths each year” said Dr. Nattika. “The aim of this research is to prepare and investigate cytotoxicity of multifunctional cisplatin-loaded liposome against cervical cancer. We focus on the modification of phospholipid used to prepare multifunctional liposome”. 

As part of the award obligation, Dr. Nattika is appointed TRF Research Scholar. 

The grant aims to strengthen researchers and institutions and motivate universities or host institutions to increase their investment in supporting research.
